A netizen shared how he was in the queue waiting to enter a restaurant at J Cube when a dispute then broke out between him and another guy.
The netizen said that the incident happened while he was in the queue waiting to enter Astons Specialities on 26 February at about 8.20pm.
He then told a youth who was behind him in the queue to maintain a safe distance from him, because he was standing very close to him.
The youth then told him “why don’t you stand further in front of your line?”, to which the netizen said, “but your friend is standing behind the line”.
The youth then allegedly went up to his face and said “now we wearing masks, why must stand far away?”
The netizen then said “it’s okay”, before taking out his phone from his pocket, and it was swiftly slapped off his hands by the youth.
The youth then allegedly punched him in the face before walking away, as his friend stood aside to watch the scenes unfold.
the netizen then gave chase to the youth as he called out to his wife, who was at the “claw machine area” to record the incident.
The netizen then caught up to the youth, who then turned around and allegedly slapped his phone away again, before kicking it.
The youth then allegedly grabbed his arms and pushed him away before fleeing the scene, as the netizen stopped giving chase and went back to where it all kickstarted.
He then approached the alleged assailant’s friends who were still queueing and demanded their phone numbers, which they complied.
The police were then alerted about the incident.
