A video emerged online showing a guy in the midst of attempting to steal a locked bicycle that was parked at a void deck.

The incident purportedly happened at a HDB void deck at Geylang Lorong 3 at around 3am and appeared to have been recorded by a resident living nearby.
The man was seen in the video trying to free the locked bicycle from its chains and/or locks with all his might.
The video then cut abruptly and it never showed whether the man managed to get away with his intended loot or not.
Potential penalties
The offense of theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries a jail term of up to 3 years, or a fine, or both.
