Why do some people think it is okay to not queue up for buses but wait at a corner and expect to board first.

Just happened at Joo Koon interchange and there was a long queue for one of the buses. A couple of people didn’t queue up for the bus but waited at a corner in their seats.
When the bus came, one of the guys (young man) went to the front of line and tried to board the bus. Driver told him to wait until the whole line has boarded before doing so.
The guy simply said “The queue is too long” and tapped his card to board.
Have you met such behaviour before? How do you deal with them?

- Doesnt happen at bishan, we wait at the side if the snake is too long, but we always board last, rightfully so.
- happens in some supermarkets too. kena a few times (with a baby strapped to me, and carrying a heavy grocery basket!). staff will ask the queue cutter to queue pretty sternly, but they will be like “thanks but no thanks, queue too long” and insist till the staff will be like, “fine, i will just clear you cuz you are holding up the line.” only one time it was a rather fierce aunty staff and she just blatantly ignore the dude while she cashes the rest of us out and he stands awkwardly at the side, still refusing to queue.
- Entitled schmucks. I’ve never been one to snap and shame, but I’ve got no sympathy for these clowns when people snap and shame them.
- Seen lots of them before and not only at Joo Koon. Typically i see are all aunties and uncles. I think the reason they think they are pioneer merdeka generation and they deserve the respect and be allowed first.
It’s not like going to queue takes a long walk. Sometimes i don’t understand, they are able to walk all the way to bus interchange but cannot walk a few more steps to queue. Them being kiasu, wanted to board to get the seats first because they deserved it (pioneer generation mindset)
