It happened to me recently and it hurt more than I could have expected. I had been seeing this ang mo girl for close to a year.
We met in Thailand and the connection was instant. We had the same sense of humor, the same taste in music, and the same outlook on life.
We both wanted to make a difference in the world, and we wanted to do it together.
We had plans to travel the world, to have our own business, to have a big family and all the other things that young couples in love dream about. We were inseparable.
We were always laughing and enjoying each other’s company.
But then one day, something changed. I started to notice that all of her conversations revolved around money.
She would talk about how she wanted to buy this and buy that. She would always ask me how much money I had, and she would constantly try to get me to buy her expensive things.
At first I thought she was just being playful and trying to joke around with me, but it quickly became clear that she was only interested in my money.
She didn’t care about me as a person, only about my wealth.
I was devastated. I had opened up my heart to her and let her into my life, only to find out that she was only after my money.
I knew I had to end it, but it was so hard. I had grown to love her and I didn’t want to let her go.
But I knew I had to do it. I knew I had to set boundaries and make sure that she understood that our relationship was not about money.
I told her that I could not be with someone who was only after my money and that I wanted someone who cared about me as a person.
It was a hard conversation to have, but I knew it was the right thing to do. I had to stay true to my values and make sure that I was setting the right example for myself.
The breakup was painful, but I knew I had made the right decision.
When I look back at the situation, I can’t help but be thankful that I ended the relationship when I did. It was a difficult decision, but it was the right one.
Nobody deserves to be with someone who is only after their money, and I am glad that I was able to recognize it before it was too late.
