I have a wild dream – I hope that the currency exchange rate between Singapore Dollar (SGD) and Malaysian Ringgit (RM) becomes SGD 1 = RM 4.
Then, I can live like a ‘king’ in Johor Bahru (JB) when I decide to retire or relocate there.
I’ve always been fascinated by JB. It is known for its diverse attractions.
I love the hustle and bustle of the city, and I always feel excited whenever I am there.
But of course, it you work in Malaysia and earn the currency there, it can be quite expensive to live in JB.
After all, the currency exchange rate between SGD and RM is SGD 1 = RM 3.30.
That’s why I dream that the currency exchange rate becomes SGD 1 = RM 4.
With this rate, I can save more money and enjoy more of the city’s attractions. I can also splurge on the food, shopping and entertainment.
In my dream, I am living like a ‘king’ in JB. I have a personal chauffeur who drives me around the city.
I can go wherever I want, whenever I want. I also have a personal chef who prepares delicious local dishes for me.
I visit all the attractions, from Legoland to Hello Kitty Town, and from the Angry Birds Activity Park to the KSL City Mall.
I also love trying out the local delicacies – from nasi lemak to char kway teow.
I also love the fact that I can afford to go for spa sessions and massages in the city’s luxurious spas. I even buy souvenirs for my family and friends.
In my dream, I can do all these things without worrying about the cost. I have plenty of money to spend, and I can enjoy the city to the fullest.
I would be the envy of all my friends, and I would be the talk of the town.
But of course, this is just a dream. The reality is that it is unlikely that the currency exchange rate between SGD and RM will become SGD 1 = RM 4.
But I still hold on to my dream that the currency goes into what I hope and hope that one day, I can live like a ‘king’ in JB.
