GUY THROWS BOTTLE DOWN BUILDING, WANT TO TEST THE LAW (& GRAVITY)

A video emerged online showing a group of youths inside what appears to be a hotel room (from the balcony, appears to be MBS but unconfirmed).

One of the youths then emerged from what appears to be the kitchen (or toilet) with a filled water bottle in hand and holding up a $10 note to the camera.

He then walked towards the balcony of the room and threw the water bottle down from the building, before climbing higher onto the railing to marvel at his “work”.

Potential penalties

Under the law, the throwing of articles or items down from high-rise buildings that can cause harm or even death to people below, are categorised as Killer Litter.

Under Section 336 – persons who commit a rash act that endangers human life face a fine up to $2,500 and/or imprisonment for a term of up to 6 months

Under Section 337 – persons who cause hurt to any person by committing a rash act that endangers human life face a fine up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment for a term of up to 1 year

Under Section 338 – persons who cause grievous injury to any person by a rash act that endangers human life face a fine up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment for a term of up to 4 years
