My boyfriend said his ex girlfriend is prettier than I am
I don’t know what to fucking do. Ive (f27) been dating my bf (m29) for nine months. He’s still friends with his ex-girlfriend (f29) who he was engaged to. I don’t know why they threw off the engagement, bf never told me.
I don’t think his ex likes me and I don’t like her but bf says she’s just standoffish so idk. She’s always polite.
Bf and I were watching tv and chatting. It was all good. I pointed out that two of the actresses on screen kind of looked like his ex.
He said he agreed and that she’s very pretty, like his ex. He said something about how personality is more important than looks and then he looked at me in a weird way.
I was obv like ‘wtf’ and asked what he meant. He said that his ex was ‘objectively prettier’ but that I was a nicer person.
I was pissed. I mean who says that? I told him he was an ass and I went home. He’s been texting me but I don’t want to talk to him. I know I need to though. What do I do?
