A netizen has written a post and uploaded it onto social media to voice displeasure at the services provided by a hardware shop located at Blk 122 Bedok North Road #01-124.
According to the complaint post by the netizen, the shop’s name is Wan Xing Electric & Gas Dealer and the netizen has accused them of being dishonest in terms of pricing and selling them something which was not what they claimed it was.
These were based on three separate incidents as claimed by the netizen where they were quoted different prices just in a matter of three days for the first incident and for the second incident they were quoted one price but when they were about to pay, was quoted another price.
In the third incident, they wanted to buy a stainless steel product and was told that what they have chosen was stainless steel but in the end the material still caused rusting to happen.

“Sharing based on own experiences:
Do avoid patronising or patronise at your own risk at this hardwareshop, Blk 122 Bedok North Road #01-124 – Wan Xing Electric & Gas Dealer.
Both my father and myself (and husband) went to enquire on the same model and brand water heater (RUBINE GOGO SERIES) on 2 different occasions (3 days apart), was quoted 2 different pricing of $98 and $138 (excluding installation and delivery pricing). When asked how come price difference so much, he claimed that we heard wrongly.
My father wanted to buy a small lock and was quoted $2.80 by the elder (in his 70s) man. When my father took out cash and going to pay to the elder man, another middle aged man (in his late 50s) stepped out and exclaimed that “No no, my older brother (dua hieah in hokkien) say wrongly. It is $4.50. Not $2.80. My brother always quote the wrong price”.
Bought kitchen racks and the middle aged man told us it was stainless steel. Used 3 mths in dry toilet, the racks rust amd stained our tiles.
It was horrendous experiences with this hardware shop. Not only dishonest pricing but also doesnt honour the price quoted.”
