
Idle Restaurant at Infinite Studios was served a notice of suspension by the authorities for flouting Covid-19 safe-distancing measures.
They were found to have allowed groups of more than 5 to sit together.
They also sold alcohol after 10.30pm.
Idle Restaurant is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) received complaints about Idle’s conduct, which involved seating in groups of more than 5, and selling alcohol past the curfew of 10.30pm.
SFA officers were then sent down to inspect the restaurant and they found that Idle had “flouted safe management measures” despite reminders.
They were subsequently suspended as a result.
F&B establishments are still not allowed to sell alcohol past 10.30pm.
Drinks are also not allowed to be purchased or consumed, violaters will be liable to fines of up to $10,000 and/or 6 months’ jail.
For repeat offences, they can expect a $20,000 fine and/or jail of up to 12 months.
