
According to a media release, the woman who spat at a KFC staff at Nex was charged today (Jun 10).
According to a police statement, the woman was charged with intentional harassment, use of criminal force, and breaching safe distancing measures.
The incident happened on the 22 Apr 2020, the accuse was buying her meal at a KFC outlet located at Nex. She starts cursing at a KFC staff after she was asked to wait for her order.
What she said to the KFC staff:
“Wait for you to die, wait for your whole family to die.”
She was later recorded in a video pulling down her mask and spit at the staff. She was arrested on the 24 Apr 2020 to assist with the investigation.
According to the law, she could face a fine up to $5,000 and a jail term up to 6 months or both for intentional harassment. She could also face a fine up to $1,500 and a jail term up to 3 months or both for using criminal force on others.
In addition, she could face a fine up to $10,000 and a jail term up to 6 months or both for breaching safe distancing measures.
The woman will return to court for a pre-trial conference on the 01 Jul 2020.
