A video emerged online showing a man burning bunch of joss papers which were swirling eerily in a vortex outside Textile Centre.

The video was purportedly taken yesterday (29 July), during the first day of the hungry ghost month, and was shared onto TikTok by user @lemonsg69.

The video appeared to have been taken at the open area behind the Textile Centre at Bugis.

A group of people were seen in the video surrounding a joss paper burning bin as they burned offerings for the hungry ghosts.

Strong gusts of wind then started roaring through and sent the joss papers into the air, as they then swirled in a mini tornado-like vortex.
