
A 42-year-old lawyer has pleaded for meth consumption on the 17 Aug 2020. The man was arrested in 2018 after he was caught with the possession of drugs at the Woodlands Checkpoint.
According to the court document, the drug that was found his car on the day of his arrest was meant to be for his friend. The man was in Malaysia when his friend texted him to ask him to buy a box of Erimin-5 containing 100 pills on his behalf.
The man then brought the drugs from a contact in Malaysia and he had also consumed meth at the contact home.
When the man arrived in Singapore, an Aetos officer found the drugs while searching his car. The authorities were alerted and the man urine sample was tested positive for meth. The case was handed over to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB). The CNB officer raided the man place the following days and found more drugs in his possession.
The case was adjourned to 02 Oct 2020 for sentencing. If convicted for meth consumption, the man could face a jail term up to 10 years and fined up to $20,000. Â
