LOW EQ GUY TELLS CEO’S UNDERCOVER SPY THAT HE DOESN’T LIKE THE JOB

I had just started my new job with the company and, so far, it had been a rather disappointing experience. I had such high hopes for this job when I applied, but things were not turning out the way I had expected.

The job was supposed to be a great opportunity to hone my skills and gain valuable experience, yet I felt like I was stuck in a dead-end job with no real prospects for growth.

No career progression, tasks are all mundane

The tasks I was assigned were mundane and repetitive and my boss showed no interest in giving me any feedback or helping me develop.

To make matters worse, I had recently discovered that the company’s CEO was sending a spy to the office to assess employee morale.

It was clear to me that this was an attempt to gain insight into how the employees felt about their jobs and if anyone was unhappy.

Told the spy that I was unhappy with the CEO

This was my chance to finally make my feelings heard and I decided to take it. I waited until the spy was making his rounds and then I approached him.

I told him that I was unhappy with the job and that I was not getting the support or opportunity for growth that I had expected.

At first, I thought the spy was going to be sympathetic to my plight. However, his expression quickly changed when I mentioned the CEO’s name.

He informed me that the CEO is away of everyone’s response and attitude towards work, and I should count myself lucky that I still have a job.

I was shocked and embarrassed by his response. I had been so sure that speaking up for myself would make a positive difference, but instead it had only made things worse.

I tried to explain myself but the spy was not interested in listening. He simply told me that I should be grateful for the job and that I should stop complaining.

Felt like I jepoardised my job

I suddenly felt like I had made a huge mistake in speaking up and that I had put my job in jeopardy.

I spent the rest of the day feeling angry and disappointed. I wanted to quit and find a better job, but I knew that was not possible.

So I just carried on as if nothing had happened, trying to pretend like I was happy with my job.
