Man, 36, Found Dead In Forested Area Near Punggol Waterway Park Dog Run

A 36-year-old man was found dead at Punggol Waterway Park on Sunday morning (31 May), with police investigations currently ongoing.

According to reports, the incident took place in a forested area near the park’s dog run section along Punggol Way.

Police were alerted to the scene at around 9am after receiving a call for assistance at 41 Punggol Way.

When reporters arrived later in the morning at about 10.20am, a blue police tent had already been erected beneath a tree while the surrounding area was cordoned off for investigations.

Several police officers were also seen conducting checks around the scene.

Man Pronounced Dead At Scene

In response to media queries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed that a 36-year-old man was found motionless at the location.

An SCDF paramedic who arrived at the scene later pronounced him dead.

At this stage, preliminary investigations do not indicate any foul play, according to the police.

Authorities have not released further details about the identity of the deceased or the circumstances leading up to the incident.

The case remains under investigation.

Punggol Waterway Park is a popular recreational spot in the northeast, frequented by joggers, cyclists, pet owners, and families during weekends.
