It had been a few weeks since I had met my date online, and we had been messaging back and forth for a while now. I was really looking forward to meeting her in person, and I wanted to make a good impression.
So, I decided to send her a funny video that I had seen online. It was a video of someone’s grandma doing something hilarious, or at least it was what I thought as I only watched the first ten seconds.

Little did I know, the video that I sent to her was actually ‘granny adult videos’. Yes, that’s right, ‘granny adult videos’. I had no idea that was what it was, and I was absolutely mortified when I realized what had happened.
I immediately sent her an apology, explaining that I had no idea what I was sending her. I asked her to please forgive me, and I told her that I would never do anything like that again.
Unfortunately, my date didn’t take it too well. She was obviously disgusted, and after sending me a message of ‘eeewwww i didn’t know you are into grannys’, she immediately stopped responding to my messages.
I tried to reach out to her a few more times, but I never heard back from her. I had completely ruined any chance of ever getting to know her.
I felt so embarrassed and ashamed. I had never meant to hurt her, and I never intended to make her feel uncomfortable. But I had, and I knew that I had to accept responsibility for my actions.
I don’t know what happened to my date after that. I tried to reach out to her one last time, but she never responded.
I am still embarrassed about it, and it’s something that I will never forget.
I now make sure I check the content of what I am sending before sending it to anyone.
