According to the prosecution’s court statement, On February 21 2019, the defendant pretended to be a policeman in a hotel room located at the Harbour Ville Hotel along Kampong Baru Road and had two oral sex and two sexual intercourse with the victim.
The defendant only admitted to pretending to be a policeman and denied all the other charges.
The victim insisted from beginning to end that she was not willing to have sexual intercourse with the defendant, and the defendant was still holding a Swiss knife during the ordeal.
On the other hand, the defendant had a recorded confession on February 15, 2019, admitted that he had intercourse with the victim twice, and the posture of the intercourse was the same as the victim described.
Later, the defendant retorted in court, saying that the two had only one-off sex and that the victim was voluntary, and the victim even thanked the defendant for the financial assistance provided.
However, the judge pointed out that if the victim volunteered, he would not call a friend and report to the police as soon as he arrived home after the incident, saying that he was raped.
The man will be back in court on August 17 to receive his punishment.
