Man Allegedly Stabs Woman To Death In Choa Chu Kang Before Jumping From 18th Floor

A shocking incident unfolded in Choa Chu Kang on the night of May 26 after a woman was allegedly stabbed to death inside a residential block before a man reportedly fell from the 18th floor.

According to reports by Lianhe Zaobao, the incident took place at Block 248 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 at around 9pm.

The woman was allegedly attacked on the 12th floor of the block. The man involved then reportedly went up to the 18th floor and jumped shortly after the incident.

Residents in the area were left stunned as police and emergency responders rushed to the scene late at night. Photos circulating online showed a damaged rubbish bin at the foot of the block, which the man allegedly crashed into after the fall.

The pair were believed to be a couple in their 20s.

One Person Pronounced Dead At Scene

The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed that they were alerted to the case at about 8:55pm.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was conveyed to the National University Hospital for medical treatment.

The identity of the deceased has not been officially released at the time of writing.

Witnesses quoted by The Straits Times said police officers were seen speaking to distressed individuals near the block as investigations continued into the night.

The Singapore Police Force has not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Several residents reportedly gathered near the cordoned area after noticing multiple police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
