The manager of the cheers outlet, located at Sembawang MRT station, spoke to Shin Min Daily News and said that the man had stolen from them repeatedly.

Once, he had put on a pair of new slippers in the store and just walked out without paying, and on another occasion, he went in and stole three packets of Blu-tack.

the manager revealed that on the first few occasions, the man paid for some of the items and hid the rest of the things he stole under his clothes.

they then checked the CCTV and after that, whenever he came, they would pay special attention to the man.

They caught him red-handed during one of his thieving attempts and wanted to call the police, but let him off after the man apologised for his actions.

But the straw that broke the camel’s back was when he walked out of their store without paying for a bottle of juice.
