MAN ARRESTED AFTER STEALING FROM CLEMENTI COFFEESHOP CASH REGISTER

According to a Police media release, a 27-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of theft in dwelling cases.

The incident happened on 10 August 2021 at around 3.10 PM, the Police received a report stating that cash has been stolen from a coffee shop cash register located along Clementi Avenue 3 has been stolen.

Officers from the Clementi Police Division identified the individual and detained him on 12 August 2021 after conducting ground investigations and using pictures from police cameras and CCTVs.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect is allegedly engaged in several similar incidents around the island.

If the man is found guilty of theft in dwelling he can face up to 7 years jail and a fine.
