WOMAN CAUGHT STEALING MOTORCYCLE ALONG CIRCUIT ROAD

According to a Police media release, a 44-year-old woman has been arrested for her suspected involvement in a case of theft of the vehicle.

The incident happened on 14 August 2021 at about 5.50 PM, the Police received a report from a victim who informed that his vehicle was stolen while it was parked along Circuit Road.

Officers from the Bedok Police Division identified the lady and detained her within two hours of the report after conducting ground investigations and using pictures from police cameras. It was also possible to recover the bike. According to preliminary investigations, the lady is suspected of being engaged in a similar motorbike theft case.

If she is found guilty under theft of a motor vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code she can face up to 7 years jail and fine.
