A woman in Malaysia has gone viral online after sharing a disturbing encounter involving a suspicious passenger inside a women-only MRT coach on the Putrajaya Line.
The incident reportedly happened on Apr. 30 at around 3.50pm shortly after the woman boarded the train at Titiwangsa MRT Station. According to her social media post, she became uneasy after noticing an individual dressed in feminine attire behaving strangely around other passengers.
The woman claimed the person was wearing a wig, a yellow sleeveless top and shorts while seated inside the women-only coach. Although the outfit initially caught her attention, she alleged that the passenger’s behaviour raised even greater concern.
She said the individual allegedly stared continuously at female commuters throughout the journey, causing discomfort among those inside the carriage. The woman described the atmosphere as tense, adding that she felt something was “not right” from the moment she entered the coach.
Passenger Allegedly Ignored Requests To Leave Coach
According to the woman, she attempted to signal for the individual to move to another coach but claimed her gestures were ignored.
Her suspicions reportedly intensified after she believed the individual might have been secretly recording passengers using a mobile phone. Concerned for her privacy and safety, she decided to confront the person directly.
The woman said she approached the passenger and asked whether the individual was male or female. Shortly after the confrontation, the person allegedly exited the train at Raja Uda MRT Station.
The incident quickly gained traction online after videos and screenshots from the encounter circulated across social media platforms. Many netizens expressed concern over safety and privacy issues inside women-only public transport spaces, while others urged commuters not to jump to conclusions without official investigations.
Authorities Reportedly Informed After Incident
The woman later stated that she lodged a report with the relevant authorities following the encounter.
At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation regarding the identity of the individual or whether any offences were committed. Authorities have also not publicly commented on allegations involving possible unauthorised recordings.
Women-only coaches are commonly introduced in parts of Malaysia to provide female commuters with a greater sense of security and comfort during daily travel. Incidents involving suspicious behaviour inside such spaces often attract strong reactions online, especially amid growing discussions surrounding commuter safety, digital privacy and public surveillance concerns.
