I had been dating my girlfriend for four years and I thought I knew her inside out. We had been talking about getting married for the past few months, and had even started looking for venues for our wedding.
We were both so excited about this milestone in our relationship and I thought I had found the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
Then I found out that she lacks personal hygiene
But then one day, I found out something that completely changed my opinion of her. A mutual friend had let it slip that she only showered once a week.
I was completely taken aback. I had no idea that she was so unhygienic and I couldn’t believe that she hadn’t mentioned it to me.
I was so shocked by this news that I decided to confront her about it. I asked her why she only showered once a week and she told me that she didn’t see the point of showering more than that.
She also said that to musk her smell, she would often spray a lot of perfume and change into fresh clothes.
I was disgusted and couldn’t believe that she was so ignorant.
Refused to listen to my advice
I tried to tell her that it was important to shower more frequently, but she refused to listen to me. She was adamant that she was fine the way she was and didn’t need to change her habits.
I told her that I couldn’t be with someone who didn’t care about her hygiene and I was adamant that this was the only way.
I couldn’t be with someone who didn’t understand the importance of taking care of themselves.
After that, I told her that I give her a week to change and if she doesn’t want to change, we can just forget about being together.
