Bhayandar East, Mira Bhayandar, India – A man was arrested in India for the alleged murder of his wife. The man got angry after he was served salty food and started quarrelling with his wife.
46-year-old Nikesh Ghag, a banker allegedly strangled his 40-year-old wife, Nirmala to death at their flat around 9 am on April 15.
Ghag and Nirmala had an argument over the food served to him and the verbal argument escalated to a fight. While the man was beating his wife, his 12-year-old son tried to stop him but his father was too strong.
Ghag started strangling his wife until she lost consciousness, the violence did not stop here. He left his unconscious wife on the floor only to return with a nylon rope and choke her to death. He then ran away from the scene.
His son quickly went to look for his uncle and grandmother who alerted the Police.
On April 16, Ghag went to turn himself in.
The local Police made a statement on the case and said: “We have arrested Ghag for murder under Section 302 of the IPC and when produced before the Thane court, the accused has been remanded to police custody,”
