A 28-year-old man was sentenced to 2 months of jail after he was found guilty of attempting to ask a young person to perform an indecent act.
It was reported that the man was employed as a trainer to conduct a leadership workshop at a boy school. During the workshop, the victim requested the man for his Instagram and both start chatting on the same day.
The man then told the victim to keep it as a secret as he is not allowed to contact any of the students after conducting workshops. The man then compliments the victim that he was cute and asked if he minds having a boyfriend. He then sends the victim a nude photo of himself covering his private part.
In return, the man requested the victim to send him a photo of himself wearing only underwear. The man then threatens the victim that he would report him to his teacher if he doesn’t comply. However, the requested was denied and the victim reported the incident to his school the following day where the police were alerted.
For his offence, the man could be sentenced to 5 years of jail, fined $10,000 or both.
