I lose my job due to hospitalisation
I was hospitalized few months ago and during that time my contract expired, and my renewed contract had to be rescinded.
Not the company fault, they were very supportive of me, I just wasn’t able to work for months due to my health and they need staff urgently.
So now I have been attending a lot of interviews, like 3 times a week. But some of the HR feedback was “you should’ve lied about my medical history” or “you shouldn’t have disclosed about your medical history”.
But I can’t lie about that since I do have to go to the hospital like twice a month for checkups, so basically the companies are rejecting me because of that).
I used to work quite far, (1 hour travel going to work and 1 hour back home) but now I can’t travel that far or that long due to my health. So I am desperately looking for remote job or at least a hybrid job that would reduce my traveling.
I have tried all the remote job that was promoted on tiktok but they all have a catch or very sketchy. So I need some LEGIT advice from the people that actually got remote job and working remotely.
I have all tons of them in linkedin and indeed and stuff but ilek. For a little background, I am 29, working for 8 years, 5 years in the marketing industry.

- this is why i despise contract work. You get no protection.
- Can you set your hospital check up to be during the weekend? 2 days leave per month can be a turn off by prospective employers.
Try to manage that rather than keep on struggling getting a job. You can’t change hirer’s mentality. When they are hiring, they expect at least 100% commitment from the new hirer - I work in marketing/advertising, and both my current job and my past job are remote gigs that I got via LinkedIn. Try to aim for international companies – many of whom are seeking people from countries like ours where they get to pay lesser than they would a local, and still get the same quality of work.
