MAN GAVE 4-WEEKS NOTICE TO RESIGN, BOSS ASK HIM BUCK UP AT WORK, SO HE QUITS STRAIGHT AWAY

Ive been with a large bank for the past two years and after giving a generous 4 week notice of my resignation my new boss (just met this dude like 4 days ago) calls me into his office for a discussion about my future performance over the next 20 days until my voluntary termination.

He stated “i know you’re leaving soon but.. theres been two days this last month that you didn’t make enough calls”

Then proceeds to condescendingly explain how i need to play the corporate game until i leave because it’ll hurt his report if i don’t

He finished by tasking me with a quota of calls for the rest of the day all whilst having a fully booked calendar of appointments and to that I replied,

“I’ll do you one better, ill get off your report today”

Stood up, shook his hand and walked out.

Plus it was a Saturday who the hell wants a call from their bank at 9:30 on Saturday morning wtf

Netizens’ comments

  1. This is the stimulation I come here for. Thank you and good job.
  2. It most definitely made landing the next job harder but I walked on the spot at my last job too. I heard after the fact that I was blamed for a bunch of things and I know that supervisor got promoted despite turning over 6 of the 8 positions under them in four years. I don’t think they ever conceded fault or learned how to be a better boss from it.
  3. It just blows me away that the audacity of these bosses who believe that you owe them even more.
It is a job, it is an exchange of resources, my time for your money and nothing more. Asking me for a favor and then being condescending and demanding of that favor tells me you deserve none of it.
  4. I told my bank if they call me again to upsell me , I will close all my accounts . Haven’t received a call since
