The unintentional/accidental prostitute?: Some time back, I met a girl overseas who I honestly just wanted to be friends and explore the city/country with.
The first date we set was at a mall when she asked me “will I buy her anything?”. She flaked every time we try to set a date and would keep asking me to meet her at a bar at odd times. Every time I would try to schedule a date to a more reasonable time, she would come up with an excuse that she was busy and if I didnt see her then, I would not be able to see her at all.
Then she offered to meet up at the oddest times possible with these weird windows of time. Then once I convinced her to meet on New Years’. I jokingly said to “book me in. She replied with, “okay, how much?”. I jokingly said I don’t know, “how much is your time worth?” Suspecting that she was a prostitute… Her reply was “$300”. I asked her, “are you being serious?” and she said “yes”.
I told her something along the lines of what she is saying and how she is acting is making her come off as an adult entertainer.
- Had asked me to buy her things.
- Had asked to meet at bars at the oddest times.
- Her WeChat picture was of her breasts…the thing is, girls in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, and other Asian countries take many steps to cover up their upper bodies. I rarely, if ever, see cleavage other than movies. So this was suspect to me.
- She had many pictures of her doing rather naughty things with her lips.
- She told me that she wanted to charge me money for her time.
Anyway, she wasn’t having any of it and started to call me disgusting for accusing her of being a prostitute.
Though I never have and never will pay for their services, I respect adult workers and am pro-legalizing it. I just wanted to know her intentions. Was weird as hell, though. Just like the girl above, I have met so many girls like this in person and on TanTan that for the last bit and until I leave Taiwan, I have sworn off dating.
