I am a Uni student and I was struggling with a particularly tricky programming problem one particular day. I was getting more and more frustrated, and before I knew it, I was shouting out a few vulgarities.
It hit me like a ton of bricks — I had just broken one of my own personal rules: no cursing.
Put a dollar into a jar every time I curse
I had put a dollar into a jar every time I cursed for a year now, and the jar was starting to fill up. I had made this commitment to myself in an attempt to be more mindful of my language, and it had paid off in another way.
I had saved up a significant amount of money, and I decided to treat myself to something special.
After much deliberation, I decided to buy an iPhone. It was a big purchase, but I was sure it would be worth it.
After all, I had saved up the money though it was not in the way I intended.
When I got home, I eagerly opened up the box and turned on my new phone. It was faster than anything I had ever used before, and it was filled with all of the features I had been dreaming of.
I immediately downloaded all of my favourite apps and started playing around with the phone.
The phone quickly became my favorite go-to device. I was using it to take pictures, read books, listen to music, and much more.
Was a fun way to save money
Honestly, I never ever thought that I would stop cursing in my life and I knew that the jar would be filled up quickly.
However, I was proud that I used this as an opportunity to save up some money.
If you are a vulgar person and have problems saving up money, I recommend you give this a try.
