Is there a way to put in an honest (bad) review of a company?
Finally, I’m going to leave this place. Threw letter days ago, rejected their counter-offer. Its funny and disgusting that the moment you throw letter, suddenly they can give immediate increment and immediate promotion.
Whilst pull factor is definitely very attractive, there are lots of push factors too, such as unhappiness over pay (why is it that companies here are more willing to pay newcomers more rather than give proper increments to existing people?), growing frustrations, impression that management had failed to take care of their own department’s interests, and burnout.
Common understanding is that we should avoid burning bridges and avoid giving bad reviews during exit interview, because Singapore is too small. But is there a way that I can put in honest reviews of the company?

- wait a few months then post on glassdoor. they won’t know it’s you by then.
- this happens more than you know. even in big corporations.
anyway putting in a negative glassdoor review is what i did but try to balance it with some positives to sound more credible - This is the working culture in Singapore unfortunately. S-t increment on existing staff that is experienced, yet they willing to pay higher for new staff. Even the fresh grad expected to be paid 3 to 4k now and I can assure you that there are many people with 10 years experience that is lower than that. It is funny that in corrupted country like Malaysia, Thailand or Indonesia they respect loyalty more than anything else but in Singapore your loyalty to the company is worthless.
- did you just start working? companies especially smes will always try their best to cut costs and maximise profits thus they wont give increments so easily. people know this and jop hop as a means to get more significant pay increases over time. dont need to take it so personally.
