A 41-year-old man was sentenced to 29 years imprisonment and 24 strokes of the cane.
He had raped his daughter who was 13-years-old, as well as forcing his son who was 15-years-old to rape his own mother twice.
He cannot be named due to a gag order protecting the identity of the victims.
What happened?
The man, worked as a technician and lived with his wife and two kids.
He was alone at home with his daughter, who was 11-years-old at the time, in 2015.
He told her to go and wash her private parts, which the girl knew means that her father wanted to perform sexual acts on her because he had done it before.
She did as she was told and went into the room where her father was waiting for her, naked.
He then performed a sexual act on her and forced her to do the same to him.
She didn’t consent to it but was scared of her father, so she did as she was told.
In 2017, sometime in September, the father was alone at home with his daughter, who was 13-years-old by now.
He drank alcohol and asked the girl to wash her private parts, before perfoming sexual acts on her.
He then raped her.
The girl was in pain and asked him to stop, but he continued.
She later told her brother about what happened, and he told her not to give in to the father’s demands.
However, he kept mum about it because he was scared of being beaten by the father, as well as fearing for the reputation of the family.
The girl didn’t tell her mother as well because she was scared that she would confront their father, which could lead to her being injured.
In 2018, the father drank alcohol with his wife until she got drunk and fell asleep.
The 15-year-old boy was playing games at the time, and his father asked him to follow him into the bedroom.
He saw his mother naked and sleeping on the bed, and his father then asked him to have sex with her.
He said that he didn’t want to, to which the man got angry.
The son did as he was told because he was afraid of being beaten up, and the man assisted his son in the rape.
The woman was drunk and asleep throughout the ordeal, not knowing what had happened to her.
The daughter took a sex education class and soon realised that it was wrong for her father to have sex with her.
She told her aunt about it in 2019 and she took her to make a police report.
The man said that he raped her because he wanted her to be single, and that he didn’t want her to have sex with any other man.
