I still remember vividly about 14 years ago receiving my secondary end of year results. I had to retain secondary 3 all again and to make things even worse my form teacher back then rub it in my face that I was never going to make it in life.
And academically I was never a high achiever as my peers but I was determined to do well and try and see how far I can go in my life.
Was appointed as a Head of Department in an international at 27 years old making me one of the youngest HOD in Singapore and multiple coach of the year award. I’m just thankful for all the amazing opportunity life have given me , but the journey have never been a easy one. So for anyone out there who is struggling right now , don’t let your current situation determine your future !
If you work just hard enough and believe in yourself, the sky is only the limit for just about anyone!
Here are what netizens think:
- Your teacher very kind already..
- my secondary school physics teacher told all of us to jump off the building when 26/28 of us failed his test.. even said he would kick us off the building if we were scared to jump. Heng we weren’t dumb enough to follow his instructions. Most of us made it decently in life today…
- All teachers back then always say “you’ll never make it in life”. Best reverse psychology technique ever.
- Being HOD is usually not academic determined but determined by 3 leg effort.
- Keep going.. your life.. Those who laughed cos they can’t connect and the biggest losers in life
