MAN SAYS CLUBBING IN CHINA IS NEXT LEVEL, THAILAND & THAI DISCO IS BORING

I never thought I would say this, but after experiencing nightlife in China, clubbing in Thailand suddenly felt underwhelming. This is coming from someone who has partied across Southeast Asia and always believed Thai discos were the gold standard for nightlife entertainment. China completely shattered that perception.

From the moment I stepped into the club, the difference was obvious. This wasn’t just about loud music and flashing lights. It was about service, attention, and an almost surreal level of hospitality that I had never experienced before. In Singapore, we pay premium prices for VIP tables and bottle service, but what I encountered in China went far beyond anything I thought money could buy.

The level of service felt theatrical, almost unreal, yet it was delivered so naturally that it didn’t feel forced. It was clear that luxury nightlife in China is designed to make customers feel like absolute royalty, not just patrons.

SERVICE THAT FEELS BORDERLINE UNREAL

At one point, I realised I wasn’t even sweating despite the packed club. That’s when I noticed a waiter standing beside me, fanning me continuously with a handheld fan, making sure I stayed cool. He did not stop. Not once. There was no need to ask, no signal required. He simply noticed and acted.

When I needed to go to the toilet, I didn’t walk alone. Three bodyguards and a hostess immediately stood up and escorted me through the crowd. People moved aside instinctively. It wasn’t intimidation — it was coordination. The hostess waited outside, the bodyguards stood guard, and I was escorted back without ever feeling rushed or uncomfortable.

At some point, I mentioned I wanted cigarettes. Before I could even pull out my wallet, someone had already left to buy them. They returned, passed them to me, and walked away without asking for money. I tried to insist, but it was waved off casually, as if this level of service was expected.

WHY THAI DISCO SUDDENLY FEELS BORING

What surprised me most was the constant attention. The massage never stopped. Shoulders, arms, back — someone was always there, making sure I was relaxed while i was on the sofa. The girls sat with us the entire time, not hovering, not rotating in and out (No butterfly), but genuinely accompanying us throughout the night. It felt curated, intentional, and incredibly high-touch.

The alcohol selection was another shock. This wasn’t just standard spirits and champagne. The variety was next level — premium labels, rare bottles, customised mixes, and choices that even high-end clubs in Singapore rarely carry. It felt like a luxury lifestyle experience rather than just a night out.

When it was time to leave, the service didn’t stop at the door. Staff escorted us all the way out, took the lift down with us, and stood by until our car arrived. Only after we got into the vehicle did they bow and wait for the car to drive off. That moment alone summed up the difference.

Compared to this, Thai disco nightlife now feels repetitive and transactional. Fun, yes — but nowhere near this level of immersive, luxury nightlife experience. China’s club scene isn’t just next level. It’s playing an entirely different game.
