MAN SITS ON TOP OF TAXI ROOF TO STOP WIFE FROM LEAVING, JAILED

Muhammad Shafiee Abdul Hakim, 34-yers-old, was jailed for 5 days after climbing on top of a taxi in an attempt to stop his estranged wife from leaving.

The incident happened on 10 November last year, when they had an argument and the woman wanted to leave but the man refused to let her leave, she then ran to Paya Lebar Square.

She then ran to a taxi stand to board a taxi but her husband followed her as she shouted for help, members of the public then tried to separate the man from her.

The woman then boarded a taxi, which Shafiee then jumped onto it as the taxi was driving away.

Tha taxi driver locked the doors as he was afraid of being attacked, to which Shafiee then climbed on top of the taxi and sat on the roof of the car.
