A 20-year-old man was arrested after attacking another man with a dangerous weapon. The incident happened yesterday (20 Aug) at Block 244 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. Apparently, the fight was caused by a staring incident that happened when both parties were on a bus.
The police were alerted and the victim was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for further treatment.
After an investigation with the information provided by some residents, the police managed to identify the suspect and arrested him on 21 Aug 2020. Investigation revealed that both parties do not know each other.
The man will be charged in court tomorrow (22 Aug) for causing hurt to others with a dangerous weapon. If convicted, the man could face a jail term for up to 7 years, fined, caned or any 2 of the combination.
