MAN SPOTTED NOT WEARING A MASK PROPERLY ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Two videos of a man not wearing a mask properly while on public transport has been circulating on social media.

Initially, the man only pulls down his mask a little while using his phone. However, in the second video, it seems like the man has taken his mask off.

According to Minister Mr Lawerance Wong, all residents are required to wear a mask outside of their residence. it has been made compulsory for all people to wear a mask while they are outside of their home to ensure the safety of others.

When should I wear a mask:

  • When outside of your home
  • On public transport, taxis, and private hire cars
  • Walking to or at markets
  • For essential workers at all workplace premises

According to the law, those caught without wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly will be fine for S$300. For repeat offenders, the fine will go up to S$1,000.
