MAN THINKS GUYS WHO WEAR NO.1 ARMY UNIFORM FOR WEDDING GOT EGO ISSUES

Like every other eligible male in Singapore, I did my two years of National Service.

I was posted to be an infantry officer and I was proud of what I did and my time in NS. I respect people who wear a uniform and serve in the military.

Recently, I’ve been seeing too many of my peers who always whine about their time in NS getting married but choose to don the no.1 uniform as part of their wedding attire.

This got me to start to think that guys who wear the no.1 army uniforms to get married have serious ego issues.

Here are some reasons why I think so

For starters, it’s a bit presumptuous. It’s as if you’re saying, “Look at me, I’m special because I’m in the military.” It’s like you’re trying to make a statement about your service and show it off.

That doesn’t seem very humble.

The thing is, what are you trying to prove by wearing a no.1 uniform to your wedding?

By marching in with it, its like you and your band of brothers are trying to show off that ‘OH I am an officer’.

Come on, if you guys were really proud of your service you would not have complained and whined like a little girl while serving your two years.

It also takes away from what your bride is wearing, which is usually a beautiful dress. It’s like you’re trying to outshine your own bride.

Also, wearing your no.1 uniform can be a bit uncomfortable. It’s not designed for long periods of sitting or standing.

And if you’re having an outdoor wedding, it’s going to be even more uncomfortable. You’ll be sweating and uncomfortable, and that’s not a great way to start your marriage.

Lastly, I think it’s a bit of an overkill. You don’t need to wear your no.1 uniform to your wedding. It’s not like you’re getting married on a military base or something.

You can still wear a suit or tux and look great. Wearing a no.1 uniform just seems like you’re trying to show off.

I mean, you don’t see a random specialist wearing his smart 4 and wearing his ILBV and chiong-ing in to his wedding with his warfighter cry right?

So, to me, it seems like guys who wear army uniforms to get married have serious ego issues.

They’re trying to show off their service, outshine their bride, and make themselves uncomfortable in the process.

That’s not really the way to start off a marriage. It’s better to be humble and keep things simple. That’s the best way to start off a marriage.
