
According to a Police media release, a 51-year-old man has been arrested following a Police report of a robbery incident with hurt.
The incident happened on the 5 March 2020 at around 8.10 am, the 92-year-old male victim contacted the Police and said that he was attacked and robbed of his wallet at Jalan Enam. (Across old airport road food center)
The robber wore a pitta mask and cash amounting to S$1200 was stolen.
The Police conducted an investigation and reviewed Police CCTV footages, officers from Bedok Police Division were able to identity the man and arrested him along Cassia Crescent on 6 March 2020.
The suspect will be charge for robbery which carries a jail term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and caning with not less than 12 strokes.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Julius Lim, Commander of Bedok Police Division, said, “The accused might have thought that he could wear a pitta mask to conceal his identity while carrying out the robbery but he was wrong. With great resolve and resourcefulness, the Bedok Police Division officers were able to establish his identity and arrest him within 17 hours.”
