Seet Cher Hng, a 69-year-old retiree, was sentenced on 22 September to life imprisonment for killing his ex-wife using a knife engraved with the dates that she had her alleged affairs with another man.
In the weeks leading up to the fatal stabbing, which happened at an ITE College Central carpark, he had written a note, saying:
“She has made me the best I can be, to be a killer.”
Seet was charged and indicated that he won’t be contesting it, and he was then convicted of a reduced murder charge.
The murder had took place on 19 July 2018.
Seet had also reportedly demanded money from his ex-wife, believing that he didn’t get a fair share of the matrimonial assets that he thought he deserved.
