My insurance agent girlfriend and I had been together for a few months and everything was going great.
We were head over heels for each other.
We had a lot in common and we were always laughing and having fun. We were like two peas in a pod.
But then one day, I logged into my Instagram account and noticed something.
My girlfriend had followed all of my friends. I thought it was strange and asked her why she did it.
She told me that she was trying to sell them insurance.
She said she had been asked by her insurance boss to prospect some new potential clients and so she thought of targeting my friends.
I was a little taken aback by her explanation.
I did not like the idea of her using our relationship to psycho my friends to buy insurance because I knew that they would entertain her on my account.
Another thing is that my friends hate it when anyone in the group ask them to buy insurance from them as they consider it as a taboo.
However, she started to get defensive. She said that she was just trying to close a few insurance policies and make a few extra bucks and that it was no big deal.
But I felt like she was taking advantage of our relationship and I told her so.
I said that I did not appreciate her using our relationship for personal gain and that I was not okay with it.
After a few days of arguing, she finally agreed to stop trying to sell insurance to my friends.
I was relieved that she had listened to me and I thought that the issue had been resolved.
But then, a few weeks later, I noticed that she had started to reach out to my friends about insurance.
She had obviously not taken my words to heart and had gone back to using our relationship to sell insurance to them.
I was extremely hurt and frustrated. I felt like she had betrayed me.
I had trusted her and she had taken advantage of that trust.
Also, my friends which she reached out to to sell her insurance policies gave me a call and asked me whats the meaning of my girlfriend trying to sell them insurance when she don’t even bother trying to make friends with them when we first started our relationship.
It made me even more angry with my girlfriend and things turned sour between us.
I don’t know what will happen between us.
