People always perceive that eating durian will become fat.
Some even said that “Eat durian get diabetes”, but research in both Thailand has proven that the king of fruits has certain health benefits when consumed in moderation.
It contains vitamins such as vitamin-C, folic acid, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B6 and vitamin A. Important minerals such as potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, zinc, phosphorus are found in durian.
Properties of durian.
1. Helps sterilise the sulphur in the meat as a mild antibiotic.
2. Helps metabolise and generate ‘heat’ of sulphur. Therefore, to reduce obesity.
3. High in fibre to aid digestion
4. Contains anti-oxidant and vitamin E. boosts immune system, prevent cancer and inhibit free radical activity, improve digestion, strengthen bones, reduces signs of anaemia, cure insomnia, prevent premature ageing, lower blood pressure, and protect against cardiovascular diseases.
