The outbreak has spread over 1,800 people since September and the number is rising. There are also reports of death, including among children, as they were not vaccinated.

The areas that are largely affected by this areas include Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat. The cause of the outbreak is because people are rejecting the vaccines as they do not believe that it will protect them from it.
