A Facebook user, Albert Chang, shared how two men who claimed to be student volunteers rang his doorbell to solicit a donation for “charity”.

– Public Service Announcement –

On 25 Jun 2022 at 1.21AM, two men who claimed to be ‘Student Volunteers’ rang my doorbell to solicit a donation for ‘Charity’.

These two men (late 20s/early 30s) were spotted smoking and prowling along the corridors of my block since ~1.15AM.

Please keep a lookout for these ‘Student Volunteers’ so we can find out if their ‘Charity’ is indeed for a good cause or for cigarette money.

Netizens claim that they are Navy regulars

Chang then added a screenshot of a post by another netizen, Che Jian, who alleges that the two men are allegedly regulars with the Singapore Navy pretending to be students collecting donations.
