Momos is a Nepalese-style dumpling that is filled with a lot of minced meat in a flour dough and then steamed. It looks similar to Xiao Long Bao. It is also one of the most popular street food in North India.
The food craze for the Momos has spread through Asia.
A Singapore startup that manages a unified online food ordering system was recently in the news after raising SGD$6.5M. The company shares the name Momos as well.
What is Momos
Traditionally it is filled with Yak (Buffalo) meat but the recipe has changed due to demand and most of the Momos we can find in Singapore is filled with minced chicken.
Momos are also served together with a red Chutney (Tomato based sauce). Other than meat Momos are also filled with a variety of veggies such as cabbage and carrots.

According to food reviews online, We compiled a list of the best places for Momos at these locations. The sequence of the restaurants is not rankings.
We personally tried some of them and non of them has disappointed us. All 3 restaurants are located within the same vicinity. So pick carefully or try all 3.
Gurkha Palace
As simple as it looks on the outside the food inside is a whole new world. There are a lot of good reviews for the food and it has yielded an average of 4-stars 365 Google reviews.

Fifth Season’s Tangra Chinese
Located in a clear view and with parking lots right in front of the restaurant! But getting to a parking lot there is difficult as there is always a lot of traffic.

- Delicious khaja and nepalese food. The kashmiri naan was done with real cherries which was better than other place that used dried fruits for cake mix.
