Malaysia reported 10,089 cases of COVID-19 yesterday (Feb 6) afternoon.
The total amount of cases in the country since the start of the pandemic has reached 2,914,220.
It has been 4 months since Malaysia has recorded 5 digits for their daily cases.

The health authorities of Malaysia reported that over 99% of the cases had mild or no symptoms.
22,000 CASES
Director general of health Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a tweet that the country is facing the Omicron wave indicated that the country had over 10,000 cases for the first time in months.
He stated that there are over a million senior citizens are yet to receive booster shots.
In a separate tweet, he said that the country is expecting to hit 22,000 cases a day by end of March 2022.
“We are not out of the woods yet. The onus is on us now to come together and brace the surge of cases. However, more importantly, we have to anticipate the high number of cases with less severity, less hospitalisation and less fatality,”
Almost 80% of the total population in Malaysia has been fully vaccinated aand 53% have received booster shots, according to data from the health ministry.Â
