The Malaysian Police have identified the suspects involved in the now-viral road rage incident that took place at the Second Link Malaysia Checkpoint, according to The Star.
Rahmat Ariffin, the assistant commissioner of Iskandar Puteri OCPD, said that the two suspects are believed to be Singaporeans.
Working with S’pore to find them
He said that they have identified the two suspects and are working with Singapore to find them, and that the case is still under investigation.
He added that the two suspects are believed to have returned to Singapore.
Ariffin added that during the incident, the victims inside the MPV had allegedly scraped the suspect’s car while changing lanes.
The suspects then stopped their car, and a man and woman then alighted.
He added, “the man then shouted vulgar words and made obscene gestures at the victims while the woman yanked off the victims’ car plate before throwing it towards the windscreen of the car.”
The case is currently being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.
