M’sia Woman Horrified: Hidden Camera Found Inside Graduation Bouquet Months Later

A disturbing discovery in Malaysia has sparked widespread concern after a young woman uncovered a hidden camera concealed within a graduation bouquet she had kept in her bedroom for months.

The 26-year-old graduate, identified only as Anne, reportedly received the bouquet in November and placed it in her room without suspecting anything unusual. It was only three months later that the shocking truth came to light, raising serious questions about privacy and personal safety.

The incident has since drawn attention online, with many expressing alarm over how easily surveillance devices can be hidden in everyday items.

Suspicious Bluetooth Connection Leads To Discovery

The hidden device was discovered after Anne’s sister noticed something unusual while using a mobile phone. The phone had attempted to connect automatically via Bluetooth to an unfamiliar software with a long and suspicious name.

Curious about the connection, the family followed the prompt and downloaded an application known as “IWF Camera”. What they saw next was deeply unsettling.

Upon launching the app, a live video feed appeared on the screen — showing Anne’s bedroom, including her bed and ceiling fan. The bouquet had been positioned in a way that directly faced her sleeping area, suggesting a deliberate attempt to capture private footage.

Camera Concealed Within Bouquet Structure

A closer inspection of the bouquet revealed a tiny camera lens hidden discreetly among the floral arrangement. The device reportedly emitted a faint red light when in operation, indicating it was actively recording or transmitting footage.

Even more alarming was how the device was powered. The “sponge” typically used to hold flowers in place was actually a disguised power bank, allowing the camera to function continuously over an extended period.

Reports also indicated that the device was connected via Wi-Fi, enabling remote access to the live feed. This suggests that the perpetrator may have been able to monitor the footage from a distance without needing physical access to the room.

Police Investigations Underway In Kuantan

Following the discovery, Anne lodged a police report at a station in Kuantan. Authorities have since confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

The case is being examined under Section 509 of Malaysia’s Penal Code, which relates to acts intended to insult the modesty of a person. If proven, the offence carries serious legal consequences.

The incident has triggered renewed discussions about hidden surveillance devices and the importance of checking unfamiliar gifts or objects, particularly those placed in private living spaces.

As investigations continue, the case serves as a chilling reminder of how technology can be misused — and the need for greater awareness to protect personal privacy in an increasingly connected world.
