M’sian Man Bombards Ex-GF’s Home with Fake Food Orders After She Reject Marriage Proposal

Delivery Riders Caught in Year-Long Harassment Campaign

A disturbing pattern of harassment has been uncovered in Tabuan Laru, where a Malaysian woman’s rejection of a marriage proposal has led to an unprecedented revenge scheme involving food delivery services. Grab drivers report being unwittingly drawn into the bizarre situation for over a year.

The Modus Operandi
Multiple GrabFood riders have reported identical experiences when delivering to No. 29B, Lorong 2. After accepting orders typically placed late at night, drivers arrive to find:

  • A “Do Not Honk” sign prominently displayed
  • Instructions via app to honk anyway
  • Chinese-registered phone numbers
  • No actual recipient appearing

One driver, Tracy Law, shared her encounter where a bystander in a silver Axia warned her it was a scam – the same warning he’d received the previous night under a different account name (“Fang Fang”).

Neighbors Reveal Shocking Backstory
Local residents allege the harassment began after their daughter rejected a marriage proposal from a Chinese national last year. The jilted suitor allegedly:

  • Creates multiple Grab accounts
  • Rotates between nearby addresses
  • Orders food deliveries almost daily until 2am
  • Has continued despite police reports and neighborhood committee intervention

Riders Band Together
The Grab community has mobilized to spread warnings after discovering:

  • At least 6 confirmed driver accounts of the scam
  • Over RM5,000 worth of food wasted
  • Each incident potentially costing drivers RM25-50 in lost earnings/gas

Grab’s Response
When contacted, Grab Malaysia stated: “We’re investigating these reports and have implemented additional verification for new accounts. We advise riders to decline suspicious orders matching this profile.”

Police confirm they’re treating the case as criminal harassment but face jurisdictional challenges with the perpetrator possibly operating from China.

Protect Yourself
Drivers are advised to:

  1. Decline orders to 29B Lorong 2, Tabuan Laru
  2. Report suspicious orders (Chinese numbers + “Do Not Honk” signs)
  3. Share locations of suspected scam addresses
