Malaysian MP for Muar Syed Saddiq, made a short video to “promote” his town, urging Singaporeans to visit the serene little town.
The promotional video was shared online just hours before the land borders between Malaysia and Singapore reopened on 1 April at midnight.
Saddiq said that Muar is a clean city that had won 2 different awards for being the cleanest city in ASEAN, and that they can still eat chewing gum.
He also promoted the town’s status as Malaysia’s furniture hub, appealing to all the uncles and aunties to get good quality and affordable furniture there.
He then touched on the best part of Muar, the food – such as the Mee Bandung, the Otak Otak and the Asam Pedas, at mouthwatering low prices.
He then shared how their hotels are charging rates for as low as $30, before appealing to Singaporeans to visit Muar, which is just 2 hours away.
Singaporean friends, welcome to Muar! ❤️
