Fellow laojiaos, how do you feel now? I guess you can consider this a rant tbh

I was told to pack goodie bags for NDP. In my mind, I wondered: ” why tf is it always outsourced to us? Why are we always the cheap labor?”

For many that just enlisted, I can tell you that half of y’all that were patriotic will feel this way soon don’t worry about it.

Everyone in here is in a shit position, one way or another. Physical saikang or mental saikang, it’s still saikang. For those who can still see the positives in dragging yourself through mud, I honestly have so much respect for you. And for the ASAs that work overtime with no policy for overtime pay, I sympathize with you as well.

One way or another, we lost a piece of ourselves. The adventurous ones, who would have the energy to do random stuff or explore a different part of Singapore.

The creative ones, who would dig deeper into themselves to find some sort of way to artistically express themselves.

For the majority of us, we get pushed to mental limits that we really can’t be bothered to do anything about. We shut down and become mindless individuals that repeat the same few relatable terms “suck thumb” “shag bro” “wgt bro” .

We just want to stay at home and not have to move, because we know that the week repeats itself again and again.

You can call me cynical and that’s just a character trait that I’ve developed through my own experiences here in NS.

I just it’s just the laojiao angst, too much free time to think of useless sh-t.

Tldr: limpeh jaded af, got triggered from being asked to pack NDP goody bags like a sweatshop worker.
