26-year-old, Joel Rasis Ismail was charged in May for one count of criminal trespass and insulting the modesty of a woman
But on Wednesday 18 December 2019, he is now facing 9 new charges, six of which is trespassing in a residential toilet in NUS, known as the Kuok Foundation House.
The remaining three charges were related to upskirt videos
- 2 June 2016 – Took upskirt video at an office in Tanjong Pagar
- 24 May 2016 – Took upskirt video at Tanjong Pagar MRT escalator
- 6 June 2016 – Took upskirt video at Tanjong Pagar MRT escalator
In total, he is now facing 11 charges. He is currently still a student of NUS and has been suspended since he was caught filming the 23-year-old in the shower earlier this year.
According to Yahoo News: “The student may resume his studies only after he is certified fit for return to campus by relevant professionals after the suspension”
He will be back in court on the 24 Jan 2020.
Other Universities like NTU do not tolerate such behaviour, an example is the recent case of a student getting expelled for a similar offence.
